In a world full of change and uncertainty, mentoring becomes an anchor that supports maintaining a balance between pressure and authentic development. It is a space where a leader can openly look at their challenges and draw on both their own skills and the mentor’s experience to find effective solutions. This builds deeper self-awareness, which allows to act more consciously and with greater self-confidence.

WHAT IS MENTORING?

Mentoring is a learning relationship, involving the sharing of skills, knowledge, and expertise between a mentor and mentee through developmental conversations, experience sharing, and role modelling. The relationship may cover a wide variety of contexts and is an inclusive two-way partnership for mutual learning that values differences. (EMCC Global definition)

Mentoring allows you to look at your challenges from a different perspective and find solutions that are tailored to your leadership style. It is also a chance to develop key competencies, such as communication, team management or decision-making in difficult situations. Additionally, you gain space for reflection, building greater self-awareness, which strengthens your self-confidence and effectiveness in everyday activities.

WHAT AREAS CAN WE WORK ON?

I work with leaders on topics related to effective communication and leadership. These include:

  • assertiveness
  • delegating
  • defining scopes of responsibility
  • working on your own boundaries and respecting the boundaries of others
  • working on awareness of your values
  • asking questions
  • clear communication of goals
  • giving and receiving feedback
  • courage in leadership
  • defining your own leadership style

Mentoring is support in development, but it is not giving advice. I ask a lot of questions to first give you space to diagnose problems and challenges, as well as opportunities that you currently have. In the next stage of the conversation, I can share my experience and knowledge, and then discuss the usefulness of these elements in your context. I will also offer practical exercises, we will plan the use of acquired knowledge in practice. I will recommend inspiring books, articles, or podcasts.
